Wowza! I have not made a decent post in months. My graphics journal is getting more attention at the moment. Hope everyone had a good holiday season! :D

My Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's Eve and Day were very enjoyable. I had to work most of the time, but I didn't mind so much. It just means more money haha! Also at work, I was promoted! Now instead of bagging groceries, I stock the produce area with packaged salads and fruit cups and things of that nature. It gives me more responsibilities because of checking the expiration dates, which sucks. It makes me a bit nervous that I'll end up messing up. The produce department is not as busy as the front-end, so that's a plus. I'm liking it so far!

School is going well too. I think I'm going to ditch majoring in Sociology, and switch to Accounting. I took a class last semester and I enjoyed it. Math comes easy to me, and accounting is just placing the right amounts in the right columns. I just have to make sure to meet with a counselor to keep me on the right path. :) I feel like I've been in school forever! I just want it to end! Ugh.

Anyway, I noticed on the homepage that there is a community called 50bookchallenge, and it gave me the idea to set a goal for myself on how many books I read this year. There is no way in hell I can finish fifty books in a year, so I'm setting my goal at twenty. It still seems a bit high, but it feels doable. At the moment, I started reading Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. It is awesome and a very amusing read. It's about Armageddon and how a demon and an angel work together to try and sway it. I'm not even done, but I would recommend it. :D

I WOULD BE A HUFFLEPUFF!! :D

Awesome, yes? Yes.

It makes perfect sense too, since I'm extremely loyal to my fandoms and celeb obsessions. I'll admit that my loyalties do dwindle at times, but it takes just a short clip to remind me once again why I fell in love.

Okay, so the hard-working aspect isn't really me persay. I can't help it though. I'm naturally lazy. But at work it's a different story. I do all this crap at work, like taking out the trash and sweeping everywhere, and people don't usually tell me to. So I'm pretty hard-working at work, but not at home.

Acceptance is one of my most prevalent traits. I don't mind a lot of things; I go with the flow all the time. Plus, you can't change people or events that you have no control over, so it's better to let things ride their course instead of fighting against it. Maybe that's more indifferance than acceptance...

Now, I know that the Harry Potter parody, A Very Potter Musical, pokes fun at the Hufflepuffs by exclaiming, 'What the hell is a Hufflepuff?' and by proclaiming that they are particularly 'good finders,' and I don't recall any kind of references of that stuff in the books, but I would like to add that I am a good finder(esp. at work). While working, I often have to search around the store looking for go-backs, items customers leave in the wrong spot, and I'm pretty awesome at it. You wouldn't believe where some customers jam things just to avoid walking ten feet to put it back where they got it from. I mean, seriously!? By the time I reach the end of the store, my shopping cart is filled with misplaced items.

And that's why I would be placed into the House of Hufflepuff. :)

Long time no see! :D I'm just going to dive right into my feelings about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

First off, I think I enjoyed it. It seems, in my opinion, that it was a bit overhyped on Tumblr(which is where i spend all my time now) to the point where I thought I was going to burst into tears at every moment. So even before the movie started I was choking up with just the idea of it. Which was a bit overwhelming.

As the movie went on, the urge to cry diminished. It was still very sad throughout the movie and my eyes were wet during most of it. omg, I thought i was going to lose it when I saw Dobby's grave, and I almost did. My lip was quivering a lot, and I was trying to hold it in by stuffing my face with RedVines.

As the death scenes came, it was really hard to watch or grasp that they died. But Lupin's dead body really got to me. His death really made me depressed, since he was always my favorite character. So yeah. :'(

I didn't full on cry, but I did feel a single manly tear on my cheek, a la Michael Fassbender in X-Men: First Class. The movie did leave me feeling numb though. But I'm planning on seeing it again anyway. :)

Uh. I just reread this over to proofread, and I came to the realization that I suck at writing reviews. I could never be a critic either, since I like/tolerate most movies i watch. Whatever. I'm getting tired. -_- Goonight!

Hey! Quick recap of the holidays: Thanksgiving was delicious! We went to a buffet and I'm glad I had that day off, because the day before was hella busy. Very tiring. Christmas was pretty lowkey. We opened presents, family came over, and then we lounged around the house. New Years was nice. I stayed up to catch the ball drop and then I watched Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper. Still super busy at work. All day was an endless parade of people. I also went to go see The Fighter(see below). I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! :D

Over the past few weeks I was able to see a lot of the movies I've been wanting to watch. First, I saw Black Swan with my sis and mom. It was amazing! I loved the ballet dancing, Mila Kunis was superb, Natalie Portman was perfect, and it was a pretty hot movie. The sex scenes kind of caught me off guard even though I was expecting them. The whole buildup to the ending was well done, I thought.

Next was The Fighter! Which is awesome as well! Oh my goodness Christian Bale was fantastic! How is he so perfect in everything he does?? I can't handle him sometimes. How could I forget the unforgettable Amy Adams!!?? She's grown on me this year with her performances in Sunshine Cleaning, Leap Year, and The Fighter. Fierce.

I also went to go see Tangled. It was really cute and Rapunzel and her chameleon are very lovable. The songs were sorta catchy too. :) Love and Other Drugs was pretty much chock full of fan service. For the ladies: Jake Gyllenhaal always undressed and charming. For the men: Anne Hathaway being equally as undressed and charming. I was in heaven! lol I'm a sucker for Jake and Anne. And then today, I saw The King's Speech which is a really, really good movie. Colin Firth was amazing. His stammer was really convincing. I left the theater pumped and feeling good. 8D

Which song by The Beatles is your favorite, and why?

Crap. This is going to be extremely tough since most of their songs are ridiculously superb. There are so many upbeat and catchy ones, but the slow, kind-of-sad ones are terrific as well.

...

My favorite Beatle is George, so I'm going to have to go with "Here Comes the Sun." I can listen to that song all day and still want to hear it more. The store I work at plays this song(cover version) and I always have to sing along to it. I just love it. :)

On Sunday, I went to the Pacific Media Expo (PMX) with my sister. She wanted to go really bad, so I just tagged along. It was actually pretty fun! I bought some Doctor Who buttons and a Blue Beetle button. Honestly, I don't know why I keep buying buttons at conventions. I never use buttons in my daily life. I should stick to buying t-shirts and fanart. At least, i didn't go over my spending limit! :)

I sold my first item on Ebay!!! It was my Watchmen graphic novel, and I got $7.99 for it. 8) Oh yeah.

Started watching a new show online, Misfits. It is effing stupendous so far. I had no idea it was about super powers though, until I actually read up about it. From what I could gather from photos and gifs on Tumblr, I just figured it was a show about kids in juvie or something, since they're always wearing the orange jumpsuits. It was a pleasant and welcomed surprise. :D At the moment, while I wait for episode three to finish loading, my favorite character is Nathan, but my heart belongs to Simon. <3 He's so odd and I love him for it.

It's been a while hasn't it? Haha. Well, my summer was nice I suppose. :) I was working practically every day of the week because I didn't enroll for any summer classes. The only awesome part was going to Comic Con. OMG IT WAS AMAZING! Oh god, I absolutely love everything about Comic Con. Even the occasional odd smell radiating from some people. I actually don't blame them for having BO, because 1) it's hot as hell in the main exhibit hall, since that's where everyone goes and stays, and 2) since it's so hot they sweat, which I totally did too. Oh god, I hope I didn't smell when I met Chris Hardwick. D8 Oh yeah! I MET/TOUCHED CHRIS HARDWICK!!! I heart him so. He's this awesome geek god who use to have his own show on G4(which DirecTV just got rid of >8[ ) called Web Soup. He also does a really funny podcast. 8)

I also went crazy with buying comic books and merchandise. Crap, I always spend too much when I go to conventions. Especially when I went to Anime Expo during July Fourth weekend. I bought so much fanart. Oh my goodness, lol. But I had lots of fun, so I don't mind as much. :D I'll post pictures later, since I don't have my camera with me at the moment.

Then I started my fall semester. I'm taking a Computer Information Systems(?) class and Political Science. I think I'm passing both, so whoo-hoo! Um, what else has been going on?? I got bangs. At first, they were horrible, but then I bought a straightner and they're okay now. I still don't know what to do with them though. :/

Halloween was uneventful, but still nice. This year I didn't go trick or treating, but I did dress up because that's the best part of the holiday for me. I dressed up like Lindsay Weir from Freaks and Geeks! 8) Then I ate some KFC and candy while watching The Walking Dead, which is very, very cool. I'll post those pictures later as well.

That's what I've been up to! 8D

Okay so, I liked Iron Man. It's not as fabulous as the first movie, but it's not horrible either. Iron Man 2 was hot. Not only did it have the incredibly sexy Robert Downey Jr, but it also had the equally as sexy if not more, Sam Rockwell. So it made me happy. :)

The ladies were also smokin'. Personally, I favored Gwyneth Paltrow more than Scarlett Johansson. ScarJo kind of annoys me, but I think it's just because of the roles I've seen her in (The Prestige and He's Just Not That Into You). I don't know, I just don't like her. :/

In college news, tomorrow is my last day of the semester!! Whoo-Hoo!!! I just need to get my Astronomy final out of the way and then I'm free for the rest of the summer! So glad school is over soon. I'm ready to be working during the weekdays, so I can have my weekends free.

Sorry for not posting as frequently as I use to. I've become obsessed with Tumblr. But I still come on LJ for my flist. :)

Well, my birthday was nice. It ended better than it started. I forgot to put my work pants in the dryer the night before, so when I was getting ready in the morning, I realized I didn't have my favorite pants. So I wore my older pair, but they were really tight and a bit short, so I was really uncomfortable, which led to my crabby mood that morning. Working, though, made me feel better. Some customers are very bubbly and infectious. Some. lol

After work, me and my family waited for my sister to get off work. She finally got a job! yay! Now I can stop buying her stuff! Our plan was to go to Denny's. 8DDDDD I would've rather gone to IHOP(which is my all-time favorite btw), but we were just there the week before. Plus, Denny's is cheaper. Always nice! I made my own Grand Slam for like five dollars!! Overall, I had a satisfying birthday. :)

I've missed the Internet! I haven't been on LJ for almost two weeks!!! D8 School has just been so busy. There was that History term paper I had to write. I think I wrote five pages of mediocre crap. So yeah. I'm glad I turned it in on time though. That was pretty much my goal, to turn it in on time. And then, I had to make a PowerPoint for my Astronomy class. That took longer than I expected. And I'm not really looking forward to presenting it either. But I'm confident in my Powerpoint; I actually think I did a good job on it. :)

It seems like my Health class is the only class I have nothing major going on. Right now, we started learning about sex and all that jazz. Next class, my teacher is going to be showing us a video of a baby being born. So that's going to be cool! 8D

Anyway, I need to catch up with my flist. That's going to take a while, but I don't think I'll go all the way back. Just until I get tired.
